HOW IT WORKS
A free in-your-home initial consultation is required before we can schedule any of our services. This is the time for us to introduce ourselves and to make certain Active Paws is the right fit for you and your pet’s needs. All appointments can be made by e-mail, info@getactivepaws.com. We are currently accepting regular weekly dog walking, and hiking clients with a minimum of 2 X per week frequency to guarantee space.
All dog walking and hiking services cover the towns of Watertown, Waltham and Belmont.
We schedule dog walking within time windows. In your email please let us know which time window works best for your needs. Time windows are as follows:
Early morning 7-9
Late morning 9-11
Midday 11-1
Afternoon 1-3
Late afternoon 3-5
Evening/dinner visit 5-7
Late evening 7-9
Night 9-11
*Any visits requested before 9 am or after 5 pm cannot be regularly scheduled, they are available on an as-needed and as available basis

WALKING
HIKING
20 Minute Visit $26
During a 20 minute visit, we will perform any and all tasks needed to maintain the happiness and health of your dog. If you just want your furry friend walked for the visit then that is what we will do.
Walks are conducted in and around your neighborhood or with friends in the same neighborhood (if your pup is social and you would like them walked with others).
50 Minute Visit $35
During a 50 minute visit, we will perform any and all tasks needed to maintain the happiness and health of your dog.
If you just want your furry friend walked for the visit then that is what we will do.
Walks are conducted with other canine friends in or around your neighborhood. If you live close enough this might mean a trip to a local park or wooded trails. If your dog does not enjoy the company of others this service may not be available. This is a great chance to get the heart going and catch up on the social scene with their canine companions.
Puppy Package (2 X 15-minute visits) $35
This service is to help the younger and often older dogs to break up their day for potty breaks or special needs. Puppy packages are only for those dogs that are younger than 6 months of age, are elderly or have a medical condition requiring 2 visits a day between the hours of 9 am-5 pm. This package deal may not be split. You may cancel a visit which will result in a default to our 20-minute service.
Dog Pack Hike $40
Pack hikes include pickup, drop off and lots of romping on the trails in Waltham. Dogs are out hitting the trails for an hour but with transportation, they can be gone for an hour and a half based on your location.
We plan our pickups and drop-offs so that we are economical, time efficient and so that your dog isn’t sitting in the car longer than needed crossing his paws.
We require no more than 6 dogs to 1 human for the safety of your pup and those around him. Dogs must have a recall (come when called), be friendly natured, social and nonreactive. Hikes are an extremely fun and rigorous expulsion of energy.
ADDITIONALS
Weekend Charge $10
Please add $5 to all our services should you need them on a weekend day such as Saturday or Sunday.
5 pm And After "Date" Charge $5
Working late or need to run an errand before going home to your canine friend? Just send us an email and providing we have availability we will dine with your pooch pal so that they don't whine or have a rumbling tummy. This after-hours "date" can include a potty break, feeding, water refreshing and other evening duties that your pup might need. Please add $5 to all our walking services should you need them 5 pm and after on a weeknight (Mon-Fri).
Holiday Charge $20
There is a $10 additional charge for New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
Additional Dog Charge $15
What is considered an "additional dog"? Any dogs that live in the same house as one another are eligible for the additional dog discount. The discount only applies if a client owns more than one dog, their roommate has a dog, or a couple living together each own a dog. It does not apply to any dog visiting the home of the client. If you require service for an additional dog that is visiting your home we are more than happy to try to accommodate your request, however, a client info sheet, as well as contract, must be completed. The visiting dog must pay the full charge for the service provided at the time of the visit.
